URA complete signing of former Cubs captain


Winger Andrew Okiring has signed for Uganda Revenue Authority FC. Swift Sports understands that the former national U17 captain has put pen to paper on a three year contract.

Okiring is a brother to Daniel Isiagi and has previously played for Proline FC and Police FC.

He was the skipper of the Uganda national U17 team in 2015 while studying at Carlisle High School in the US.

URA FC also announced Simeon Masaba as the new head coach on interim basis replacing Sam Simbwa whose contract was not renewed upon expiration.

They have also acquired Edward Ssali “Biano” who will be part of their Technical Team.

Ssali is a former player at Bunamwaya FC (now Vipers SC) where he has been part of the technical team.

URA FC already lost goalkeeper Hannington Ssebwalunyo who was sent on loan to BUL FC and Brian Majwega to KCCA.

The Tax Collectors have already captured Kabon Living, James Alitho, Derrick Ndahiro and Baligeya while midfielder Julius Mutyaba also extended his stay with the club.
