KCCA head coach Morley Byekwaso has been subjected to his first defeat since his elevation to the post of head coach KCCA FC .

Byekwaso took over from his boss Mike Mutebi and quickly won three games on the bounce.

This evening, he tasted the wrath of top flight managers after Sam Simbwa’s URA handed him a rough welcome putting an end to his honey moon.

Second half goals by enterprising youngster Joachim Ojera and Shafiq Kagimu saw URA complete a season double over the Kasasiro boys. Kagimu was also on target as URA beat KCCA at Lugogo in the first half of the season.

Aware of what could befall him, Byekwaso named a team dominated by defensive minded players. Ssimbwa on the contrary named an expansive line up dominated by forward minded players.

Top scorer Steven Mukwala fired warning shots in the 8th minute with a close range effort which Charles Lukwago ably dealt with.

Towards the half hour mark, URA were forced into an early substitution with the injured Moses Seruyidde making way for the combative Ivan Serubiri.

Shafiq Kagimu has been a menace for KCCA, he scored at Lugogo and scored again today

The first 45 minutes failed to produce any goals despite being action laden.

Returning for the final half, Byekwaso made a switch in approach by bringing on the pacy Charles Lwanga and Hassan Musana for Samuel Senyonjo and Ashraf Mugume.

Ssimbwa also countered this move by introducing the direct agile and Rwothomio Cromwell for Ibrahim Dada.

The home side started from where they had stopped, they made relentless attacks which were finally repaid through Joachim Ojera.

The diminutive winger headed in Cromwell’s superb cross on 53 minutes to give URA a very deserved lead.

Ojera’s goal broke the barriers for URA with captain Shafiq Kagimu extending the tax collectors’ lead in the 66th minute. Kagimu tapped in Mukwala’s cross.

Steven Mukwala had a chance to extend his goal tally in the dying minutes but his shot at goal got parried over the bar.

Triumph for the tax collectors keeps them on footing with leaders Vipers SC on 39 points. The defending champions had a field day against Busoga United with a 4-0 whitewash.

URA will host BUL on Friday 16 at Ndejje, whereas KCCA hope to redeem themselves against SC Villa on Sunday 18th .
