Tito Okello tapped-in an Abraham Nduggwa assist after 39 minutes to secure the all important points for Vipers SC.

With only 6 minutes into play, the guests had an opportunity to get into an early lead when Vipers SC had a defensive slip up and goalkeeper Fabien Mutombora failed to clear the ball out of danger only to have the opportunity go to waste.

Emmanuel Lubangakene in goal for Kirinnya Jinja SS rose fast to the occasion to deny a goal hungry Tito Okello enough space to shoot just a minute later.

At the half an hour mark, Tito Okello nearly put the home side in the lead but his effort went over the cross bar despite being in a close shooting range.

The goal moment came just after 39 minutes when Vipers’ forward Abraham Nduggwa laid a clear cut pass which Tito Okello tapped home to send the Kitende faithfulls into jubilation.

With 15 minutes left to play, David Bagoole had the best opportunity to level matters for the visitors when he had only the goalkeeper to beat but his shot went wide.

With only 2 minutes left to play, defender Ibrahim Kiyemba was shown matching orders after receiving a second yellow card on the evening for foul play.

With this win, Vipers SC still maintains the second position with 34 points garnered from 16 games while Kirinnya Jinja SS remain distant 11th with 19 points.
