Tooro United have been
found guilty for fielding an ineligible player James Kasibante during their 1-1 draw with Kyetume FC on 15th January, 2020 in Jinja.

Kyetume petitioned to FUFA over the use of unlicensed players by Tooro United.

Kasibante’s licence was issued by FUFA on January 17th at 4:00Pm, meaning that on match day, he was unlicensed.

Accordingly, the CDP orders that,

“Tooro United loses the match against Kyetume by forfeiture in accordance with Art.19 (19) of the FUFA competitions rules which establishes that a club that fields an ineligible player shall lose the match by forfeiture to the opposing team.”

Tooro lost their second round opener game against Onduparaka FC in Fort Portal after failing to raise at least seven required players.

Tooro United next face URA FC on Tuesday 28th January while Kyetume FC will host KCCA FC on the same day.

Kyetume FC are now 13th on log with 19 points whereas Tooro are second from the bottom with 14 points.
