ONDUPARAKA VS SC VILLA: Tough mountain to climb as the Jogoos seek to end winless run
Embattled record winners SC Villa will seek to get back to winning ways when they visit Onduparaka Fc at the Green light stadium in Arua.
The Jogoos last tasted victory on February 12th when they beat Paidha Black Angels at home and have since gone on to draw against BUL FC, Police FC and disappointing losses to KCCA Fc and Kirinya JSS.
Onduparaka will need to revive the memories of last season and avenge the pain that SC Villa caused them when they broke their home unbeaten run.
SC Villa head coach Douglas Bamweyana has made a rallying call to his troops to wake up and get back on track despite being away from home.
“We are aware of what is at stake, results haven’t been going our way and we need to correct the mistakes and get back to winning ways”.
Bamweyana told the club’s website
” The weather and pitch are humid and we have the confidence that victory is achievable”
Bamweyana also confirmed that experienced defender Habib Kavuma will not take part in the match after sustaining an injury on training but the other members of the squad are available for selection.
Onduparaka’s Nicholas Ssebwato will serve his first of the two match suspension that was slapped on him for misconduct in Onduparaka’s goalless draw with Vipers. Rashid Toha has been ruled out of the game by injury.
SC Villa will move up to 12th above Maroons who also have an uphill task of visiting title chasing Vipers SC at the St Mary’s stadium.
Onduparaka can only cement their current position of 7th following Tooro United’s victory over BUL FC this evening at Wankulukuku. The Caterpillars have garnered 34 points so far.
