Steven Bogere’s UPDF FC continued with their fine run in the fight to beat the drop with a 1-0 win over Mbarara City to move out of the red zone for the first time since October.

Midfielder Sulaiman Majanjalo scored the lone goal of the game from a spot kick capitalizing on a foul on Joseph Janjali in the box area in the 64th minute.

It was a game of shared dominance between the two sides but the most clear cut chances fell on the hosts’ side, notably to Joseph Janjali and Sydney Senyonga who faced the Mbarara City goalkeeper Muhammad Ssekeba.
