Umony joins Proline FC on a short term contract

Former KCCA FC and Express FC striker Brian Umony has joined Proline FC on a six months deal.

Umony joins the Stanbic Uganda Cup champions as a free agent following expiration of his short term contract at Express FC in June last year.

He is expected to fill the void left by Edrisa Lubega “Torres” and Ivan Bogere who left the club for greener pastures.

Umony has previously featured for Nakawa United, Naguru Avis, KCCA FC, South Africa Premiership side Super Sport United, University of Pretoria, USA based side Portland Timbers.

He also played for Vietnam side Becamex Binh Duong, Tanzania’s Azam, St. George of Ethiopia and most recently at Express FC.

Umony has 35 caps in the Uganda National Team colours with 12 goals. He was the CECAFA Senior Challenge Cup top scorer in 2009.

Proline FC are bottom of the Uganda Premier league log and will face Maroons FC on Friday 10th, January at Luzira Prisons Grounds.
