Miya Farouk has joined Turkish second tier club MKE Ankaragucu on loan from Konyaspor, Swift Sports has learnt.
” Miya will spend the last year of his Konyaspor contract at MKE Ankaragucu.” A source told Swift Sports.
Like Swift Sports reported two days ago, Miya has not been part of Konyaspor’s pre-season training with hopes of sealing a loan move.
Konyaspor have been in negotiations with MKE Ankaragucu for the transfer of Endri Cekici and Miya has been considered in an exchange but on loan.
Ankaragucu have been searching for an offensive midfielder and Miya has emerged as their final option.
He is expected to be unveiled by the club as preparations for the new season intensify.
Miya has in the past two seasons played 45 games for Konyaspor and contributed 8 and three assists.
He joined Konyaspor in August 2019 on a three year contract following an impressive 2018-19 season with Croatian side HNK Gorica.
The former Vipers starman has also featured for FK Sebail in Azerbaijan and Belgian sides Standard Liege and Royal Excel Mouscron.
His new club MKE Ankaragucu FC competes in the Turkish second tier after suffering relegation from the topflight last season and hosts league at the Eryaman Stadium, coached by Hikmet Karaman.
