Forward Pius Wangi is close to renewing his stay at Rwanda side Sunrise Football Club.
Swift Sports understands that negotiations between the club and player over a contract extension are in advanced stages.
Reliable sources reveal that Wangi is to extend his marriage with the club for another two year employment contract.
Wangi is current a free agent after expiration of his previous two year deal at the club.
He joined Sunrise at the start of the 2019/20 season on a two year contract from 16 time Uganda Premier League champions Sports club Villa.
Wangi has also previously featured for Vipers SC where he won the 2017/18 Uganda Premier League title and the 2016 Uganda Cup trophy.
Last season, Sunrise was relegated under the stewardship of Moses Basena who left the club to deputise Uganda Cranes head coach Milutin Sredojevic “Micho.”
