Ugandan goalkeeper joins Rwanda’s Mukura Victory Sports

The goal scoring goalkeeper is expected to add experience to Mukura Victory Sports having previously featured for the Ugandan Cranes as well as SC Villa and KCCA FC.

Goalkeeper Nicholas Sebwato has joined Rwanda Premier League club Mukura Victory Sports on a two year contract.

Swift Sports understands Mukura Victory Sports have concluded negotiations to sign Sebwato who played for Proline FC last season.

Sebwato has been a free agent after his short term contract with Proline expired at the end of last season.

The goal scoring goalkeeper is expected to add experience to Mukura Victory Sports having previously featured for the Ugandan Cranes as well as SC Villa and KCCA FC.

Sebwato also previously played for Soltilo Bright, Onduparaka FC, Coastal Union of Tanzania and Kenyan giants Sofapaka FC.

He becomes the fourth player to cross over from Uganda to Rwanda in the current transfer window after defender Samuel Kato Nemeyimana, Ben Ocen and Dennis Rukundo who joined Bugesera, Musanze FC and AS Kigali respectively.

Mukura Victory Sports et Loisirs FC is based in Huye district and hosts league games at Stade Huye.

They are three time winners of the Rwanda Premier League and have won the Rwanda Peace Cup on five occasions.

The club is currently coached by Emmanuel Ruremesha.

Last season, they finished 5th on the bottom eight table and survived relegation in the closing stages of the campaign.
