Ugandan female-forward Ritah Kivumbi has signed a contract extension with Swedish second-tier club Mallbackens IF Sunne.
Kivumbi joined Mallbackens IF at the start of last year from Vaxjo DFF on a one-year contract which has been extended for one more season.
In her first season at Mallbackens, Kivumbi scored seven goals in the league and registered three assists as the Sunne based club finished fifth on the Swedish Elitettan table with 42 points.
Born to Lameck Kivumbi and Hasifa Nabiteko 25 years ago, Ritah Kivumbi left Uganda for Sweden in 2015 where she subsequently featured for Vaxjo DFF alongside her compatriot Violah Nambi Ssebunya.
Kivumbi played for the Uganda U-20 team that obliterated South Sudan 22-0 over two legs in 2013. Just like Sandra Nabweteme, she also scored a hat trick in both legs.
She is a former St. Mary’s Kitende and Lubiri SS student who also played for UCU Lady Cardinals.
Kivumbi is represented by World In Motion agency that also represents Violah Nambi and Kampala Queens starlet Fauzia Najjemba.
The World In Motion agency also represents some of the best African female players like Thembi Kgathlana, Linda Motlhalo, Jermaine Seoposenwe, Ritah Chikwelu among others.
Mallbackens IF have lined up seven preseason friendly games as they prepare for the 2021 season that kicks off in April.
