Ugandan Basketball Clubs executed dominance in their opening fixtures. NBL Women defending and undefeated side KCCA Leopards kicked off against Rwanda’s APR. The fixture seemed tight from the beginning as APR looked to cause damages in the first quarter, Martha Soigi took charge and went on to score 20 points. KCCA went on to win it 57-45.

Later after KCCA had opened fortunes, UCU Lady Canons white washed Somalia’s Horseed. UCU led all 4 quarters in an eye catching game that saw the youngest side of the tournament Horseed playing for fun, doing everything for fun. UCU won 108-42.
