Uganda to play friendlies against two European countries

Uganda’s national team will face Iceland and Moldova in two friendly matches slated for 12th and 18th January in Turkey.

While it has not yet been officially confirmed by FUFA, the two European countries already confirmed that they will play against Uganda in Antalya, Turkey.

Earlier today in the morning, FUFA posted a video which hinted on the development.

The Iceland Federation tweeted that they will play against Uganda in a friendly match on Wednesday 12th January before facing off with South Korea on January 15th.

The Icelandic team will mainly be made up of players who play within the Scandinavia and the Iceland league as well.

The Moldova Federation also used their Facebook page to confirm that they will have a friendly match with the Uganda Cranes on Tuesday 18th January.

The development comes shortly after the cancellation of the Uganda Cranes friendlies against Gabon and Mauritania which were scheduled in Abu Dhabi.

Iceland is ranked 46th in the latest FIFA Rankings while Moldova are 177th. Uganda is 82rd.
