Uganda soccer legends kick started training at the Muteesa II Stadium Wankulukuku on Wednesday as they prepare to face Kenya in two friendly games next week.
Uganda soccer legends will face off with Kenya on 26th and 28th at Maya Forest Resort and Barifa Stadium Arua respectively.
Kefa Kisala a former Express FC player will manage the soccer legends team and revealed that the training will improve the fitness levels of players
“We are in preparations to take on Kenya in two friendly games next week. My players are born winners but above all they need training to improve on their fitness levels.”
We used to have competitive games with Kenya during our time and this game will be great for both teams and it will great to once again meet them.”
Dan Ntale, the head of the organizing committee of the event and also General Secretary of the Uganda soccer legends Association asserts that the game will bring about togetherness as well as boosting the nation’s tourism sector
“The game brings about togetherness since we come to know more about each other as Ugandans and brings back the memories.” It will also help boost our tourism sector, our opponents have always been playing at Namboole and Nakivubo but now we are going to face them in Arua.”

A limited number of fans will be allowed into the stadium. The Ugandan soccer legends are also planning to stage another friendly with Tanzania.
Legends such as Abubaker Tabu, George Ssimwogerere, Hassan Mubiru, Sam Kawalya, Hakim Magumba, Philip Obwiny are expected to feature.
