Uganda Sand Cranes depart Copa Dar es Salaam beach soccer championship

The Uganda beach soccer team (The Sand Cranes) has embarked on a road journey to Tanzania for the 2018 Copa Dar es Salaam beach soccer championship.

A contingent of 18 people was flagged off by the FUFA finance director Decolas Kiiza at the FUFA house in Mengo on Monday.

The team is expected to arrive in Tuesday 20th November ahead of the tournament which starts on Wednesday 21st November.

The tournament is expected to climax on Friday 23rd November.

Uganda finished fourth in the inaugural edition (last year) after losing to Tanzania in a third place play off.
