UGANDA CUP : Wakiso Giants progress, Police arrested in Tororo

Police Football Club became the fifth Uganda Premier League side to exit this year’s Stanbic Uganda Cup.

The Cops succumbed to a 2-0 defeat at the hands of regional league side Admin FC at the Paya Arena in Tooro district.

It was Aaron Okot and Walter Alele who scored Admin’s two goals in the opening half of the game.

In Buliisa, Wakiso Giants overcame Bugoigo Leopards 2-0 thanks to Viane Sekajugo’s double.

Sekajugo broke the deadlock in the sixth minute before sealing it off for the Purple Sharks in the 68th minute.

In the other games played on the day, UPDF rallied from a goal down to edge Mbale Garage 2-1 at the Mbale Hygiene grounds.

Kyetume cruised to a 3-0 victory over Sansiro FC in Kumi thanks to Denis Lubowa’s brace and Cephas Kambugu’s goal.

The tournament will continue on Sunday with the final games of the round of 64.
