Uganda Cup : SC Villa, Kyetume complete round of 16 menu

Uganda Premier League sides Kyetume FC and SC Villa were among the last four teams to book places in the round of 16 of the Stanbic Uganda Cup.

SC Villa fought to eliminate Buganda regional league side at Muteesa II Stadium, Wankulukuku thanks Ronald Magwali’s 29th minute goal.

Kyetume FC edged FUFA Big league 4-2 on spot kicks after rallying from behind to play to a full-time one-all stalemate at Kabale Municipal grounds.

Davis Muhairwe and Abbey Makumbi missed their penalties for the Vialli Bainomugisha coached side while Dickson Niwamanya and Grant Masiko scored theirs.

Denis Lubowa, Deo Iseija, Jonathan Mugabi and Robert Ssentongo converted all for Kyetume FC with only Feni Ali failing to score.

At CRO grounds in Mbale, Kiboga Young edged Mvara Boys 1-0 and Spartans FC lost to Kataka FC 5-4 on spot kicks after a one-all full-time stalemate.

Kyetume FC, SC Villa, Kataka FC, Kiboga Young join holders Proline FC, KCCA, URA FC, Tooro United, Free Stars, Maroons FC, Wakiso Giants, Light SS, UPDF, Mbarara City, Dove FC and Kitara FC are the team who are in the round of 16.
