With the memories of a 1-0 defeat to rivals SC Villa, Vipers fans confronted their coach Edward Golola faulting him for the club’s slip in performance which thereafter prompted for security intervention at Wankulukuku.
The shocking defeat to the Venoms was reminiscent of that of 2015 when Kampala Regional League club Kyambogo FC ejected the three time league champions courtesy of an epic penalty shoot out at Banda.
Vipers were not the only Uganda Premier League side to be eliminated on the evening, Busoga United and Onduparaka followed the same route.
Bugamba FC from Rwampara defeated the Caterpillars 1-0 while Busoga United succumbed to a 2-1 defeat to Busia Young at the Madibira grounds.
