STANBIC UGANDA CUP DRAWS: Joint record holders KCCA and Express face off as Vipers get tough draw

The Stanbic Uganda Cup quarterfinal draw has been held at FUFA house in Mengo on Tuesday, 11th May, 2021.

The competition’s joint record holders Express and KCCA FC will face each other in the two legged quarterfinal tie.

Express FC ejected URA 2-1 on aggregate while KCCA humbled Maroons 5-0 in the previous round.

Both sides have previously won the competition ten times in history.

Nine time winners SC Villa who last won the trophy in 2015 have been drawn against Vipers SC.

Villa sealed a place in the quarterfinals with a 1-0 victory over Onduparaka in round of 16 whereas Vipers beat UPDF FC 4-2 on aggregate in the previous round.

Vipers previous Uganda Cup triumph was in 2016 when they beat Onduparaka FC 3-1 in the final at Nakivubo Stadium.

Holders Proline FC will face the winner of the pending round of 16 tie between BUL FC and Kigezi Homeboyz.

Wakiso Giants who overcame Tooro United in the round of 16 have been pitted against Police FC who eliminated Soltilo Bright Stars in the previous round.

The games will be played from 25th May to 2nd June on home and away basis.
