Uganda Cranes defender set to join Asante Kotoko

Ghanaian Premier League side Asante Kotoko have agreed a deal to sign Uganda Cranes defender Murushid Juuko from under the noses of Vipers SC and KCCA FC.

Both Vipers and KCCA have been interested in Juuko’s services to boast their continental aspirations next season.

According to footballmadeinghana.com Juuko has already agreed a deal with the Ghanian giants and will join them immediately the Coronavirus restrictions are eased in Ghana.

In case the deal materialises, Juuko will become the third Ugandan to feature for the Ghanian outfit, the others are Joseph Ochaya and George Abege.

Murushid has previously featured for Bunamwaya FC (now Vipers SC), Victoria University (now defunct), Simba FC of Tanzania and Moroccan heavyweights Wydad Casablanca.

He has also represented the Uganda Cranes at the 2017 and 2019 continental showpieces.
