UCU Lady Canons wins game 3 as KCCA sails to the finals

Having lost 62-70 to JKL Lady Dolphins in game 2, UCU Lady Canons fought tooth and nail to win game 3 putting them in a 2:1 lead.

Lady Canons who won their first serie 72-52 but went on to lose game 2, closed down their defenses in a tight game which they won by just 3 points.

JKL put up a fight from the first minute as they kept the first quarter leveled at 11 a piece and trailed by 1 point at half time , 24-25.

In the 3rd quarter JKL looked more lethal with Flavia Oketcho scoring a 3 pointer followed by Namuhayimana’s 2 jump shot as fired up JKL led the 3rd quarter 41-38.

However, in the last quarter Vilma Achieng inspired Canons to a come back stealing the game with 3points, 59-56.

Vilma scored a total of 15 points while JKL’s Muhayimana Namuwaya scored 11.

Both teams will have to face off in game 4 a game which JKL will have to win to push the series to game 5 as they are now trailing 1:2.

In other results of the evening, Kcca Leopards swept A1 challenge winning all 3 games to make it to the final.

Kcca won, 64-62, 64-48 and sealed the series with a 64-57 victory in a game that saw Amoding Moreen scoring a total of 15 points. They now await the winner between UCU and JKL.
