The game will be a renewal of acquaintances since both sides faced off in the 2019 CECAFA U-17 tourney that was held in Njeru but played out a one-all draw.

Uganda, under Ayub Khalifa are targeting for an away victory that can put them in a pole position to qualify to the final stage to face either Cameroon or Sao Tome and Principe.

For the first time, Ayub will be without Stella Musibika and Kevin Nakachwa who pulled out of the squad due to knee and thigh injuries respectively.

Kawempe Muslim’s Grace Aluka has already been called to replace Musibika in the central defense.

Captain Juliet Nalukenge has also returned from an ankle injury that kept her out of three league games recently.

Nalukenge together with Fauzia Najjemba are expected to inspire Ayub’s charges in search of a positive result.

The home side will rely on usual suspects Clement Opa and Aisha Masaka for any kind of inspiration.

The second leg of the encounter will be played on 14th March at The StarTimes Stadium, Lugogo.

Uganda’s Probable Line Up
Daphine Nyayenga (GK), Samalie Nakachwa, Summayyah Komuntale, Grace Aluka, Bira Nadunga, Shakira Nyinagahirwa, Catherine Nagadya, Hadija Nandago, Margret Kunihira, Juliet Nalukenge, Fauzia Najjemba
