Konyaspor Külubü opened up their new 2020/21 Turkish Super Lig season with a goalless draw against Genclerbirligi FC at the Eryaman Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
Uganda Cranes forward Farouk Miya featured in the offensive midfield role before he was substituted in the 63rd minute for Nigerian forward Samuel Eduok.
Miya was the club’s top scorer last season having managed eight goals as the Anatolian Eagles battled for league safety.
Konyaspor Külubü currently lie in the 11th place with one point while Genclerbirligi FC are a place below then having garnered a point from two games played.
The 2020/21 Turkish Super Lig officially kicked off last week on Friday. The league has 21 clubs unlike 18 in the previous campaign.
Miya and teammates are expected to be back in action on Sunday 27th September with a home duel against Besiktas at the Konya Buyuksehir Belediyesi Stadium.
