Ugandan Professional Kickboxer Titus Tugume will face off with American Robert Niemoeller in the intercontinental kickboxing championship under the Super middleweight Orthodox style.
The scientifically organized fight was officially launched on Tuesday, 27th October at Green Lounge Muyenge.
During the launch, Tugume who is also a Uganda Peoples’ Defence Forces soldier attached to UPDF Air force’s directorate of Sports promised to put up a top notch performance
“I take this opportunity to thank all my sponsors, promoters for all the support. I cannot make it without their support. I can only pledge not to let them down during the fight day and I remain confident that I will overcome the American.” He stated.
The fight is slated for 18th December at Kololo Airstrip and it is expected to only attract a minimum of 100 people following the government restrictions on coronavirus.
Initially the fight was scheduled for for 23rd May this year at International University of East Africa but due to the outbreak of the global coronavirus pandemic the fight was postponed.
The function was graced by Maj Gen. Tumusiime Katsigazi who represented the Chief of Defence Forces Gen.David Muhoozi, the Director Sports UPDF Land Forces Col John Mark Ssemanda and Director of Personnel and Administration in Airfoce Brig Gen Rebecca Mpagi among others.
