Defender Henry Orom Bishop has joined Uganda Premier League side Kyetume FC from Buganda Region League club Synergy FC.
Orom has been the team captain of Synergy FC primarily playing as a right back but can ably turn out as a center back.
He finally put pen to paper on a contract of two years with the Slaughters following lengthy negotiations between the two parties.
Orom joined Synergy FC in 2018 before he was elevated to the role of the team captain a year later. He has previously featured for Gomba, Buwekula and Ssingo in the Masaza Cup as well as Uganda Martyrs University Nkozi in the University Football League.
He joins new recruits at the club who include defender Richard Matovu (BUL FC), winger Ezra Bida (Onduparaka FC), striker Raymond Walugembe (Buwambo United), goalkeeper Derrick Were (Kiyinda Boys) and midfielders Hassan Kabuye (Mbarara City) and Felix Okot from Maroons FC.
Kyetume FC finished 11th with 29 points in their maiden UPL season as football was abruptly suspended due to the pandemic.
The forthcoming Uganda Premier League season was tentatively scheduled to kick off on 17th October 2020.
