Uganda Cranes striker Patrick Henry Kaddu has joined Egyptian side Ismaily Sports Club on loan from Renaissance Sportive Berkane of Morocco.
Kaddu will turn out for the Egyptian side until the end of the season with an option to buy should he impress.
While in Morocco, Kaddu has struggled to impress since his arrival on a four year contract from KCCA. His loan move was sparked by the arrival of veteran striker Mouhssine Iajour early this year.
He now joins other Ugandan players plying their trade in Egypt, Emmanuel Okwi (Ittihad Alexandria), Abdu Lumala (Pyramids FC), Khalid Aucho (Misr El Makkasa), Derrick Nsibambi (Smouha), Allan Kyambadde (El Gounah) and Tadeo Lwanga (Tanta FC).
The former Kira Young and Maroons forward is remembered for scoring the lone goal (against Cape Verde) that sent Uganda Cranes to the 2019 AFCON.
He also scored Uganda’s first goal in the 2019 AFCON in the 2-0 win over DR. Congo.
His new home Ismaily SC are three time Egyptian League champions who host their games at the Ismailia Stadium.
They are currently seventh on the league table with 21 points accumulated from 15 games played.
