Ugandan midfielder Lawrence Ndugga has put pen on paper on a two year contract with Nkwazi FC a club that plays top flight football in the FAZ/Zambian Super League.
Ndugga has been a free agent after the six months contract he signed with BUL FC at the beginning of the 2017 -2018 season expired early this year.
He had also played for Kira Young and Simba FC before joining FC Mormeneseke in Cyprus.
The midfielder is delighted at the opportunity and he believes this can be a stepping stone for him to return back to the national the team. He says,
“I am very happy to have signed this contract and am going to work hard to help the club achieve it goals at the same time use it as an opportunity to make it to the national team .”
He will be donning shirt number 23 for the High-flying Nkwazi FC.
Nkwazi Football Club gained top flight promotion in 2014 from Division one South hosting its games in Edwin Imboela Stadium and sponsored by Zambian Police. Its a combination of Police staff and ordinary players
Lawrence Ndugga joins fellow Ugandans in the Zambian League that include Godfrey Sserunkuma, Bayo Fahad, Hood Kaweesa who play for Buildcon FC, Benjamin Ochan of Nkabwe Warriors, Hakim Ssenkumba of NAPSA Stars and Joseph Ochaya in Lusaka Dynamos.
