Forward Alex Kitatta “Benzema” is on the verge of returning to Uganda People’s Defence Forces Football Club (UPDF FC).
Kitatta is currently employed with Rwanda Premier league side Kiyovu Football club whom he joined from UPDF FC on a two year deal in January this year.
Swift Sports understands that, Kitatta has already held negotiations with UPDF FC over a possible return. He is set to put pen to paper on a one year employment contract with the army side.
Kitatta is a skillful, quick, agile and prolific forward, who is strong and powerful and a potent finisher from inside the box. He can be deployed as a centre forward and can also operate as an out and out striker.
He has previously featured for Saints Football Club, Sports Club Villa, Kitara Football Club and UPDF FC.
In case the deal materialises, Kitatta will join former Vipers striker Dickens “Diarra” Okwir, bow-legged Gadafi Gadihno, Simon Mbaziira, James Begisa, goalkeeper Tonny Kyamera, experienced defender Ronnie Kisekka, former KCCA and Proline midfielder Ibrahim Wammanah who are the other new recruits at the army side.
The newly Promoted Uganda Premier League side will be under the stewardship of Kefa Kisala who replaced Steven Bogere.
