Express FC will be seeking to extend their leadership at the Uganda Premier League table when they host Kitara on Friday at Muteesa II Stadium in Wankulukuku.

The Red Eagles are also in search of a seventh straight league win having won their previous games.

Defeat for Kitara will see them being relegated from the topflight division with just four games to the end of the season.

Kitara have only registered three wins, drawn four and lost 18 this term and are bottom placed with only 13 points. They beat MYDA 3-1 in their previous game.

Express humbled Busoga United 4-0 courtesy of a Godfrey Lwesibawa hat trick and Eric Kambale netted the other. They are top with 55 points in 25 games.

The Wasswa Bbosa coached side have won 16, drawn 7 and lost twice this campaign and are also unbeaten at home.

In the first round meeting, Express beat Kitara at Kavumba 1-0, thanks to a late Frank Kalanda penalty.

The hosts will welcome back Yaya Mahad Kakooza while George Senkaaba remains the only absentee.

Kitara will continue to miss captain Maxwell Owachigiu who is still out with personal issues while defender Philip Ssempira misses out due to illness.
Charles Kyomuhendo is also out with a tooth ache.
