Top of the table clash as Vipers dare KCCA’s unbeaten run

St. Mary’s Kitende stadium will be the battle ground this evening when two challengers to Express’ crown meet.
They are both from identical 3-1 wins in the previous league outings with Vipers beating Gadaffi in Jinja and KCCA cruising to an impressive victory over BUL at Lugogo.
The Venoms suffered their first home defeat this term when URA visited and KCCA lost their only points on the road when they visited Soltilo Bright Stars at Kavumba.
Six points separate the table leaders on 22 from second placed Vipers but with a game lesser. A home victory will see Robertinho’s men close the gap on KCCA FC.

KCCA have not picked any victories from St. Mary’s since 2018 when they sneaked a 1-0 victory.
The have however managed two wins from the 12 times played as visitors.

Key men to watch
KCCA have in their ranks four former Vipers players and these will be key in the demolition of their former paymasters.
In form striker Davis Kasirye, Geoffrey Wasswa, Innocent Wafula, Ashraf Mugume and custodian Derrick Ochan may be named to start in goal.
Striker Charles Lwanga is Morley Byekwaso’s secret weapon.
Vipers will be buoyed by the return to fitness of Yunus Sentamu who missed the trip to Jinja against Gadaffi
The visitors welcome back midfielder Gift Ali, but Julius Poloto and Brian Majwega will not be part of the encounter through injury.
