TOORO UTD VS ONDUPARAKA : UPL game not played due to license issues

GLADYS ZAWEDDE

Tooro United’s home tie against Onduparaka at St Paul’s Seminary has been called off due to the failure to provide players licenses.

Tooro United only had six players eligible to play. That is Willy Kavuma, Charles Musiige, Isa Mubiru, Denis Mugerwa and John Byamukama Toki.

This follows the failure of other senior players to travel with the team citing non payment of their salaries for three months.

Their opponents Onduparaka on the other hand too had only seven players licensed to play, a minimum number of players required on the pitch.

The seven were goalkeeper Baker Yunus, Richard Ayiko, Gasper Alex, Allan Busobozi, Paul Ddumba, Jamal Malish and striker Julius Malingumu.

The final verdict of the game will be made by the FUFA Displinary Panel after a proper interpretation of the rules and regulations of the game.
