Relegation threatened Tooro United have reportedly entered negotiations with Angelo Lonyesi for the vacant head coach role.
Tooro United part ways with Muhammed Kisekka on Saturday after just two months in charge.
Swift Sports understands that, Lonyesi is the frontrunner to land the job. The tactician also watched Tooro United’s Uganda Cup exit in the round of 16 to Big League side Kitara.
Lonyesi has been unemployed since he was relieved of his duties as Kansai Plascon head coach in November last year. He has also previously served at Police FC.
In case the deal materialises, Lonyesi will become the fourth coach to manage the Tooro based side this season. The others are Richard Wasswa Bbosa, Eric Ndifuna and most recently Muhammed Kisekka.
With only five games to the end of the current campaign, Tooro United are rock bottom with 22 points.
