Tooro United ready for Cops challenge

Tooro United will be seeking to move places on the Uganda Premier league log when they host pass masters Police FC today Saturday 2nd March at Buhinga Stadium, Tooro.

Tooro United played out to a barren stalemate in their previous game away to Bright Stars whereas the Cops drew 1-1 at SC Villa in their last game.

The last three league meetings between the two sides have seen Tooro United register one win and two for Police FC.

Police FC edged Tooro United 2-1 when both sides faced off in the first round this season. The hosts currently sit in 9th place with 27points while the visitors are currently 7th placed with 29 points.

Allan Kayiwa, Joel Mutakubwa and Simon Sserunkuma are expected to fire Wasswa Bbosa’s side to maximum points.

Juma Balinya the league’s current top scorer with 13 goals alongside Pius Kaggwa and custodian Davis Mutebi are expected to continue with their brilliant performances and inspire the Cops past Tooro United challenge.

Victory for the Tooro outfit will see them leapfrog their day’s opponents in 7th place whereas maximum points for the Abdallah Mubiru’s charges will take them to 6th position currently occupied by Onduparaka FC.
