Tooro United loses Onduparaka game by forfeiture

The FUFA Competitions Displinary Panel has ruled that Tooro United lose all the three points that were supposed to be played for in their opening game of the second round against Onduparaka FC.

For starters, Tooro United had to host their opening game( match number, #122 of UPL) of the second round against Arua based Onduparaka FC on Tuesday, 7th, January,2020.

The match was not played due to failure by the home side to present dully validated player licences.

Consequently, the FUFA Competitions Displinary Panel has ruled that the three points be awarded to Onduparaka FC.

“Accordingly, Tooro United losses the match against Onduparaka by forfeiture”

“The table standings be updated accordingly”,reads part of the letter signed by Deo Mutabazi the panel Chairperson.

It should be remembered that Tooro United FC has had a number of shortcomings in the near past ranging from uncertainty on ownership, players’ unpaid renumeration and strike and resignation of head coach Eric Ndifuna.

With this ruling, Onduparaka now has 26 points but remain in the 5th position while Tooro United remain in the red zone with 14 points.
