David GOMBE

KCCA FC will be seeking to clinch their 13th league title in the club’s history when they visit relegation endangered Ndejje University on Tuesday April 23rd, 2019.

They will be declared champions if the manage to pick a point from the match.

Ndejje University FC played out to a goalless draw with SC Villa in their previous game at Mandela National Stadium last week whereas KCCA FC dismantled Express FC 3-1 at StarTimes Stadium in their last league contest.

The Lugogo outfit outclassed Ndejje 3-1in their first topflight meeting courtesy of goals from Muzamir Mutyaba, Muwadda Mawejje and Steven Sserwadda while Anwar Ntege scored the only goal for Ndejje.

Noel Nasasira will miss this encounter since he is on loan from KCCA FC whereas Steven Ategeka is major doubt through injury.

Sulaiman Mike Mutyaba and Julius Poloto remain on the sidelines but the rest of the squad is fully fit for this encounter.

Raymond Komakech’s side will look up to custodian Derrick Mukule who put up heroic performances against Villa alongside Anwar Ntege and Stephen Akena.

The champions elect will expect Allan Kyambadde, Muzamir Mutyaba, Allan Okello and Mustafa to put up explosive performances.

Mike Mutebi’s beleaguered troops need a point to secure their 5th league title in the last eight years. Only Vipers and Express FC have won the league since the 2011/12 season.

Ndejje need nothing less than a win to at least brighten their chances of survival. They are only separated by three points from safety.
