” Time to reclaim our throne” . SC Villa head coach Wasswa Bbosa.

By David Gombe

The Azam premier league fixtures are out and the league’s record champions SC Villa will open up their tittle search on 12th September at home against Soana FC.

This will be Wasswa Bbosa’s full season at Villa after joining in mid season following the sacking of Shafiq Bisaso. He admits to the fact that nothing other than victory will be deemed as a failure judging by the fact that Villa have been one of the busiest sides in the transfer market and they expect to challenge KCCA right from the onset. Bbosa says,

“In my first full season in charge, i want to compete for trophies not to fight for places.
I have got great players whom i trust that can help me fight on all fronts.”

Bbosa highlights that Villa’s transfer business has been completed to the tune of 85%. He adds,

“I have always worked in liaison with the club President and he has been so instrumental in seeing that we manage to make the desired transfers happen. I believe the new additions we have made will make a huge difference to our team and we only hope they integrate well in the team.”

Sc Villa lost their lead marksman to Tanzania giants Simba FC but Bbosa is confident the team will move on.

“Okwi came at Sc Villa when his form was down, but due to the trust i had in him and the hard work, he managed to get back to his best and that’s why Simba were attracted to him. His departure won’t affect us because we have players who can take on the mantle from him”.

“I call upon all the Sc Villa fans to be patient with the team we are building, they are special fans and i call upon them to support their club since they are the 12th player and this will help us reach our target.
I know they always want to win but you can’t win every game, sometimes you draw or lose,” says Bbosa.

Bbosa began his coaching career at Victors fc where he started as a coach-player, he later left for Hoima fc before joining Express fc a club were he spent 5 years and now Sc Villa.

SC Villa will play a pre season friendly match against Bright stars  tomorrow at Villa Park, fans will be required to part with 2000/= in order to watch the match.
