Ugandan match officials Ronald Katenya, William Oloya and retired FIFA referee Brian Miiro Nsubuga have been appointed to take charge at the 2021 CECAFA Kagame Cup tournament in Tanzania.
Oloya will be a center referee, Katenya will serve as an assistant referee while retired FIFA Nsubuga is among the six assessors appointed.
Ketenya is fresh from duty at the U-23 CECAFA Challenge Championship in Ethiopia.
The tournament kicks off on Sunday 1st August with Express FC facing South Sudan’s Atlabara FC.
Eight teams will take part in this year’s edition after Tusker pulled out in the eleventh hour.
Group A has Express, Atlabara, Young Africans and guests Big Bullets from Malawi.
Group B has KCCA, Le Messanger Ngozi, KMKM SC and Azam FC.
