South Africa will be without the trio of Brighton and Hove Albion forward Percy Tau, midfielder Teboho Mokoena and Sipho Mbule for Thursday’s international friendly against Uganda.

Tau and Mokoena tested positive for the horrendous Covid-19 pandemic.

Mbule has also been ruled out after being in close contact with Mokoena. The duo missed SuperSport United’s final DStv Premiership game against Chippa United.

South Africa will be under the stewardship of assistant coaches Cedomir Janevski and Helman Mkhalele since head coach Hugo Broos is back in Belgium to receive his second Covid-19 vaccination.

Meanwhile, the Uganda Cranes interim head coach revealed the 23 man squad to face Bafana Bafana on 10th, June at the Orlando Stadium.

The Uganda Cranes team safely arrived in South Africa on Tuesday morning and currently accommodated at Marriot Bonvoy Hotel.

The team will be joined by South African duo of Ismail Watenga and Moses Waiswa.
