KCCA skipper Charles Lukwago has declared the Super cup tie against KCCA a litmus test for them ahead of the new season.
The experienced goal keeper insists that, all their pre season preparations will be gauged during their battle against league champions Vipers SC
Lukwago told the pre match press conference that,
” We greatly need this win and I think this game will help us test ourselves more ahead of the new season since we are playing a good team which can give us alot of challenge.”
“The friendly games we have played have helped us so much gain more confidence since we have managed always to get the desired results.”
“It has been a great test to the new players and helped them fit in our style of play.” he added.
Ahead of the new season the shot stopper has high hopes as he promises to to continue giving the best as he has always done,
” I and the team we are well prepared and equipped to give the best our target is to work so hard more than we did last season so that we can continue taking more trophies.”
Lukwago helped his side KCCA FC win the 2018 Uganda Cup defeating Vipers SC 1-0 courtesy of Julius Poloto.
KCCA FC will be playing Vipers SC in the Super Cup at Muteesa II Stadium Wankulukuku in a game which acts as a curtain raiser ahead of the new season 2018-19 which is slated to kick off on 28th- September though the fixtures are yet to be released.
