The FUFA-DRUM: 4 match day two fixtures postponed

FUFA has cited the date for the CAF Champions’ League return match for Uganda’s Champions KCCA FC as the reason for extending the four of the second round fixtures of the FUFA-Drum tournament from Saturday 17th March to the following day Sunday 18th March 2018.

” KCCA FC will be playing it’s 2nd leg of the CAF Champions’ League match against St George on Saturday 17th, March, 2018. Therefore, all Drum fixtures affected are, Sebei Vs Busoga, Bugisu Vs Teso, Acholi Vs Buganda and Kigezi Vs Lango which are postponed to Sunday 18th, March 2018.”

The first round of the FUFA-DRUM tournament was played in the various provinces in Uganda between 25th and 26th of last month.

The official opening game of the tournament was hosted by Busoga which simply enjoyed the ride over Bugisu province with a 3-0 defeat while Buganda fell 1-0 to Kigezi in their own barkyard at Masaka recreation grounds and Sebei was walloped a 8-0 by Teso province whereas Karamoja held the West Nile province to a 1-1 stalemate.

The FUFA-Drum tournament is a provincial competition in which players all over Uganda represent those areas of their origin. It was created by the football field federation in Uganda to help people celebrate their ancestry and identify talent among other aims.
