21 players attended the Cranes training session today ahead of the 2018 World Cup Qualifier encounter against Congo Brazzaville.
Moses Basena the interim Cranes coach expressed his disappointment about players’ unpleasing turn up. He said ;
“Matters are not being healthy by the fact that the league is going on at the same time we need the league to continue going on but players are moving in and out of the training camp.”
“For instance we shall have fewer numbers tomorrow because KCCA is playing on Saturday, URA is playing Villa on Saturday and each of those clubs need to have their players for their training and then we can not have a double session and it would be unfair on our side if we took them through a double session” He added
The Cranes kicked off training yesterday with a single session in the morning at Namboole and will go in camp after Saturday.
The players who attended training are;
Tom Ikara (GK), Saidi Keni (GK), Bernard Muwanga, Savio Kabugo, Timothy Awanyi, Joseph Nsubuga, Ibrahim Kiyemba, Isaac Muleme, Dumba Sadala, David Owori, Pius Obuya, Muzamir Mutyaba, Allan Kyambade, Albert Mugisa, Daniel Isiagi, Paul Mucureezi, Shafik Kagimu, Hood Kaweesa, Derrick Nsibambi, Milton Karisa and Nelson Senkatuka.
Uganda Cranes will play their last World Cup Qualifier game against Congo Brazzaville away in Brazzaville on 11th November.
