Offensive midfielder Juma Balinya was on the score sheet twice for the Cops to take his tally to 5 goals this season.

Pius Kaggwa drew first blood for Police in the 19th minute before Balinya doubled the lead with his first of the day 8 minutes to the mandatory halftime break.

Ibrahim Orit reduced the deficit for the Charles Livingston Mbabazi’s coached men and automatically gave them a ray of salvaging at least a point at the hour mark.

Balinya brilliantly put the game beyond reach for the visitors with four minutes to play.

Victory elevates the Cops to the 7th place with 14 points while Mbarara City remain 3rd on 16 points accumulated from 9 games.

Next on card for Police will be another home duel against Bright Stars on Tuesday 11th December while the Ankole Lions will seek redemption when they host URA FC on the same day.
