The Bombers off to Congo Brazaville for AFBC ( African confederation Boxing Championships)

After hard time preparations and challenges,finally the The Uganda boxing team ( The Bombers) left for the AFBC African confederation Boxing Championships to take place in Congo Brazzaville.

However, the Boxing sector still struggle with finances as they couldn’t travel with the full selected team of 10 Boxers.7 Boxers and 4 coaches travelled with the team as the rest of the 3 await for tickets clearance and hope to join the team later.

Speaking to Swift sports Captain Musa Shadhir, said

“The coaches have done their best
and it’s our turn to reward them with
victory and I hope we shall,
Inshallah,”

Like earlier informed in our news,the top four teams in this tournament will directly qualify for the AIBA World boxing Championships in Germany.

Speaking to one of the Patrons for the Bombers who also has been so hard in search for Sponsorship, Godfrey Nyakana,

” We should at least have 6 Boxers qualifying for Hamburg, Germany” said the 1990 Auckland Commonwealth Gold Winner.
