Ten man Busoga United upstage URA

Ten man Busoga United put a halt on URA’s impressive run in the second half of the season with a comprehensive 3-0 victory at The Mighty Arena.

Second half goals from David Bagoole (59′), Nelson Mandela (64′) and youthful forward Lawrence Tezikya (75′) condenmed Sam Ssimbwa’s charges to their first defeat in 11 league games.

Busoga United played the better part of the game with a man less Douglas Muganga was sent off by referee William Oloya following a second bookabale offence in the 21st minute.

Ssimbwa was forced into two subsitutions due to injuries in the 28th and 43rd minutes. Goalkeeper Nafian Alionzi was strechered off for his understudy Samuel Mwaka while Mikidadi Ssenyonga replaced Micheal Birungi.

The comprehensive win propels the Jinja outfit to the fifth position with 33 points, one behind URA FC.

Both teams return to action on Friday 21st with Busoga United visiting Maroons FC while and URA FC host Vipers SC at Ndejje.
