Tanzanian moneybags set to launch massive bid for Vipers custodian

Tanzanian giants Azam FC are interested in Vipers SC custodian Fabien Mutombora.

Swift Sports understands that the Burundian goalkeeper’s contract is ending at the end of the current season and is hesitant to extend his stay at the three time Uganda Premier League champions.

Mutombora joined Vipers in August, 2018 and has previously featured for Burundi giants Lydia Ludic Academic FC.

He was part of Burundi National team that took part in last year’s CECAFA Senior Challenge Cup that was held in Kampala.

The Tanzanian outfit have also identified KCCA FC goalie Charles Lukwago as the other option as they prepare to bolster their goalkeeping department.

The KCCA FC skipper is regarded as the best of the locally based shot stopper has been instrumental for both his club and on the National team.

Azam FC is home to Uganda Cranes and former Vipers captain Nicholas Wadada.
