TANZANIA: Wadada, Azam maintain winning start

Azam FC maintained their winning streak with a comprehensive 3-0 victory over Mwadui in the Tanzania Vodacom Premier League action at the Azam Complex on Thursday.

Fresh from the Cranes camp in Dubai, right back Nicholas Wadada Wakiro featured for the Ice Cream Makers for the entire 90 minutes and ensured a clean sheet.

Striker Obrey Chirwa scored a brace while Zimbabwean goal poacher grabbed the other.

Dube took his personal tally to six goals in six games while Chirwa netted his third and fourth goal of the season.

Chirwa opened the scores in the 27th minute before Dube made it 2-0 at the hour mark with a neat finish. Chirwa then put the icing on the cake in the 67th minute.

Azam currently top the league table with 18 points accumulated from the six games they have played so far. Their next game will be against new comers Ihefu FC on Tuesday 20th October.

Simba SC and Young Africans are second and third respectively with 13 points each and a game in hand.
