Tanzanian Premier League side Ihefu Football Club are chasing after the signature of Ugandan coach Jackson Mayanja.

Mayanja is currently employed as the Technical Director at Uganda Premier League side Kyetume Football club.

Tanzanian media tablet shutikali.co.tz.cutestat.com has already confirmed that the former Uganda Cranes player has already joined the Tanzanian outfit.

A move to Ihefu would imply that Mayanja returns to Tanzania having previously handled Simba SC, Kagera Sugar FC and most recently KMC.

Mayanja played for the national team (Uganda Cranes), featured at KCCA FC and played professionally in Egypt at Al Masry and Tunisia’s Esperance de Tunis.

He has handled KCCA, Uganda Revenue Authority (URA), Vipers (Bunamwaya) and Rwanda’s Rayon Sport.

He is also the interim President of the Ex-International Footballers Association in Uganda.

Ihefu Football club are newcomers in the Tanzania Premier League league based in Mbeya City, Tanzania and host their home games at the 10000 capacity Sokoine Stadium.

They are currently second bottom placed on the Tanzanian Premier league log with 3points garnered in 5 games played this campaign.
