Ugandan forward Ritah Kivumbi was on the score sheet twice as her Mallbackens IF side defeated Lidkopings FK in the Swedish women’s second-tier league on Wednesday.
Kivumbi was on target in the 60th minute and later in the 87th minute to ensure a hard-fought victory.
Frida Brostrom, Ida Hallstensson and Emma Eriksson scored the other goals for the winning side while Hanna Boubezari, Sandra Lagerbratt and Taylor Townsend were on target for Lidkopings FK.
Kivumbi has now scored four league goals in the seven games she has featured for Mallbackens IF.
Her previous goals came in a 1-1 draw against Moron IF and a 4-3 defeat to Alingsas.
Mallbackens IF are now 7th on the Swedish Elitettan league table with 14 points garnered from nine games.
Kivumbi and her opponents will return to action against the same opponents, Lidkopings FK on 12th August.
Kivumbi’s compatriot Viola Nambi turns out for Vaxjo DFF in the Swedish top-flight league and is expected to be in action against Umea Women on Thursday.
