Sudanese giants Al Hilal Omdurman are keen to name Milutin Sredojevic “Micho” as their next head coach following the sacking of Salah Adam on Friday.

Reports indicate that Al Hilal are in advanced talks with the Serbian tactician who is a free agent following his sacking from Zamalek in Egypt.

Micho was relieved of his duties at Zamalek 137 days into his one year contract early this week and was subsequently replaced by Frenchman Patrice Carteron.

Should the negotitionns materialize, the former Uganda Cranes tactician will be returning to a side he coached between 2010-11.

It would also be a reunion between him and Uganda Cranes goalkeeper Jamal Salim Magola who is the club’s first choice custodian.

In his first stint at Al Hilal, Micho won the Sudan Premier League in 2010 and the Sudan Super Cup in 2011. He guided them to the semi finals of the Caf Champions League (2011) and Caf Confederation Cup (2010).

The 50-year old tactician has also previously coached at SC Villa in Uganda, St. George in Ethiopia, Yanga Africans in Tanzania, Rwanda National team and South Africa’s Orlando Pirates.

He is remembered for guiding Uganda Cranes to the AFCON final tournament in 2017 after 38 years of absence.
