Former Soana FC striker Rashid ‘King’ Kyambadde made a u-turn to join Kenyan Premier league side Vihiga United on a one year contract.
Kyambadde rejoins a side he featured for in the 2017 season during the National super league days (Kenyan second tier).
In his first stint in Kenya, Kyambadde scored 6 goals for Vihiga United in their splendid campaign that saw them gain promotion to the topflight.
In January this year, He was released after he failed to live up to the competition in the club’s pecking order and subsequently joined Masavu FC in the second half of the UPL season.
Kyambadde becomes the second Ugandan player at the Kakamega based outfit after former SC Villa captain Jonathan “Dante” Mugabi.
The powerful forward has also previously played for the defunt Masaka Local Council, Soana FC and FUFA Big League side Water FC.
He is expected to debut in Vihiga United’s upcoming league fixture against Wazito FC on Sunday 8th July. Vihiga United is currently 16th on the 18-team log of KPL.
